Drilling
and sampling in unconsolidated formations is
achieved through various drilling
techniques. The use of air, water, or other
drilling fluids combined with drilling
methods such as solid stem or hollow stem
augering can accomplish your sampling needs.
Shelby tube sampling may also be performed
when a relatively undisturbed sample is
required. Our capabilities also enable us to
decontaminate using steam cleaning and
disinfectants according to project
specifications. Monitoring wells are one of
Raimonde Drilling Corporations specialty,
ranging from multi-well installation to
wells up to depths of 650 linear feet.
Raimonde Drilling Corporation has experience
with various well constructions. Drilling
crew members are OSHA and HAZWOPPER trained.

In the engineering industry it is imperative
for initial testing of structural surface to
be investigated. Borehole drilling for this
purpose may include soil and rock sampling.
Samples are then analyzed for foundation
recommendations. Other structural drilling
is used for purposes of bridge and dam
inspection. Usually the foundation of the
structure is sampled along with the soil
immediately below it. This can be
accomplished by vertical or angle drilling
techniques. Application of structural
drilling is dependent on the engineer and
the demand of the project.
